The 15 Project

Late-night-talk-show with Fahamu Pecou

Stockholm

American artist Fahamu Pecou takes Andy Warhol’s famous quote that everyone will have 15 minutes of fame to the next level with The 15 Project. His late-night-talk-show for the arts fuses the worlds of pop culture, fine arts, comedy and music entertainment. In his irreverent and often spontaneous way, Pecou acts as host to a group of three guests who are artists, musicians, culture producers, journalists, designers or even politicians. Each of the guests are informally interviewed by Pecou for 15 minutes.

The 15 Project at Moderna Museet will be the first show performed outside the U.S. Stockholm’s own Ayesha Quraishi will DJ, and three local guests will help Pecou try to make sense of Stockholm’s art and culture scene.

As part of the Creative Call: ATLxSTHLM project which brings Pecou to Stockholm, he will spend a week in Tensta meeting the community’s youth, getting to know the neigborhood, and filming short clips of his encounters. During this time, he will also select one or two of his special guests for Moderna Museet.

Creative Call: ATLxSTHLM is a festival, as well as a growing transatlantic network of individuals, institutions and organizations who support Creative Call´s core ideas about art and culture as a tool for empowerment and social change. The home base in Stockholm lies in the suburban areas Tensta and Husby, and branches out to established inner city institutions Kulturhuset and Moderna Museet.
