In Visible Light is an extended version of an exhibition originally organised by the Museum of Modern Art Oxford which was curated by Russell Roberts.
The seven sections of the exhibition together form a reflection on the many contradictory histories and meanings contained within photography´s attempts to classify the world. In Visible Light questions photograhpy´s claim to be passive record of the order of things and reveals its shifting, ambiguous status as both document and art.
