Various forms of collaboration and exchange are important ingredients in the work of the artists, Liesbeth Bik and Jos van der Pol. This is not only because they work together, but also because they turned working with others into a whole system.

Many of their works may be described as contextually sensitive and constructively critical: that is, they relate to a certain context and question the manner in which art functions, including its institutions. Their activities nevertheless extend beyond those traditionally associated with art: they do their own work, run an atelier with a programme of exhibitions, and arrange seminars and performance festivals.

Moderna Museet Project

Moderna Museet Project is an activity of the Moderna Museet in Stockholm. Artists are commissioned to make new work for the temporary project space in the Old Vicarage next to the museum on Skeppsholmen, for other situations and environments in the city of Stockholm or elsewhere.
