Soon the Turbine Hall will open after nearly a month-long construction process. This summer’s major exhibition at Moderna Museet Malmö presents the internationally acclaimed film artist Yael Bartana.

The exhibition “and Europe will be stunned”, will occupy the entire Turbine Hall and will screen the artist’s five most recent productions. Oscillating between history and an imagined future, these films exist in a troubled borderland between documentary, propaganda and fiction.

For those who have previously visited the Turbine Hall with Luc Tuymans exhibition will meet with a brand new exhibition space – the Turbine Hall has with Yael Bartanas exhibition changed character completely. The films were shown inside a grouping of building volumes, whose simple character in various ways references an architectonic aesthetic found in the films.

Yael Bartana “and Europe will be stunned” opens May 22. More information about the exhibition can be found here.
