A visit to Moderna Museet Malmö sparked creativity

Leonit Bajraktari shows how he was inspired by art from the 60s that’s currently on display at the Moderna Museet Malmö

Art inspires. When students from Team Munkhättan in Malmö visited the Moderna Museet Malmö, they were so inspired that they made their own versions of the artworks in the exhibition SPECTACULAR TIMES: The 60s – The Moderna Museet Collection.

The exhibition SPECTACULAR TIMES: The 60s – The Moderna Museet Collection displays pioneer work of artists such as Robert Rauschenberg, Lena Svedberg, Niki de Saint Phalle and Carolee Schneemann. Thought-provoking and inspiring works of art from a time when the concept of art was extended and where, for example, found objects, advertising and mass-produced objects could be incorporated in the works.

Team Munkhättan, a regional operation in southern Sweden for children with disabilities, visited Moderna Museet Malmö as a round-up of an art project where creativity and inspiration was in focus. The works in the exhibition SPECTACULAR TIMES sparked many creative ideas in the children and the visit resulted in a presentation of students’ own versions of the work they saw at Moderna Museet Malmö. Until August 23 you can see the result in Fosie Stadsdelsförvaltning, Eriksfältgatan 28 A.
