Read this before your visit

Now you can once again experience art on site! Moderna Museet Malmö reopens on 16 March. The exhibition “Hilma af Klint – Artist, Researcher, Medium” has been extended until 11 April. Several measures have been made to make you feel safe during your visit.

The opening takes place in accordance with the Swedish Public Health Agency’s recommendations. Tickets must be pre-purchased and the number of visitors to the museum is strictly limited. Purchased tickets can be cancelled up to 2 hours before the entrance time stated on the ticket. Only visit us if you are healthy.

What can you do as a visitor?

Stay at home when you feel unwell

You are welcome to visit us if you feel healthy. If you feel unwell, stay at home until you get well.

Keep the distance

We also ask all our visitors to be considerate by keeping distance from one another. There are floor markings to make it easier to keep your distance. Visitors are reminded to keep 1,5 metres apart. At the reception you will receive a map that shows in which direction you should move in the exhibition halls.

Wash your hands frequently

Wash your hands often, and use hand sanitizer if you can.

Wait outdoors

To be able to keep distance between visitors in the entrance area, some waiting time outdoors may occur. We ask for your patience.

What are we doing at the museum to prevent contagion?

Not too many visitors at a time

Based on the Public Health Agency’s recommendations we are not admitting too many visitors at a time. One way of controlling this, is that we launch pre-booked tickets. Thus, a pre-booked ticket is required for admission to the exhibition, also for children and other groups who have free admission. Without a ticket, it is not possible to visit the exhibition.

No cash

We do not accept cash at Moderna Museet Malmö. Card payment is accepted for purchases in the shop.

More frequent cleaning

We have increased cleaning frequency to ensure a clean environment on your visit. We will clean all areas that are especially exposed to contact with hands (door handles, taps, soap dispensers, pay stations) more often. Hand sanitizer is available.

No guided tours

Currently all guided tours are cancelled. Instead we offer you short filmed guided tours in our series “2 minutes on Hilma af Klint”. Watch the films: 2 minutes on Hilma af Klint

Our café is closed

We are sorry to inform you that our café Bröd och vänner is closed until further notice. This is to prevent crowding.
